Ozone Medical Sterilizer. 2015.

Overview

A toy blaster that is mounted to the back of the hand. It has thumb triggers on both the right and left side as well as thumb guards.
Problem Statement: Design a sterilizer that is portable, lightweight, and has a non-medical aesthetic to minimize theft when traveling to low income countries.
Oven Rack Style Chamber:
  • Lack of pressure allows a non-rounded chamber, larger products can be sterilized by removing sterilizer racks.
No Extra Chemicals:
  • Makes ozone out of air, so carrying and paying for aditional chemicals is not needed.
Suitcase Aesthetic:
  • Deters thieves through camouflage, fake zipper hides parting line.
Light Weight:
  • Can be easily moved by one or two people.

2D Initial Sketch Examples
